There are many photographic effects could be achieved by both digital and analog technology. For example, we can make light and dark effect. By digital technology, we can deepen or lighten the photos easily just through computer software such as photoshop. On the other hand, we can also make light and dark effect by changing natural lightness in real life, such as taking photos in a darkroom, light setting and using different kind of film. Moreover, we can make special style, such as blured, by using photoshop or capturing a particular moment in real life.
2) Photographic techniques (digital technology):
There are some photographic techniques that can only be done using digital technology. For instance, we can use photoshop to make colour correction, sizing and cropping after taking a photo in order to make it more perfect and beautiful than the original one. We can even change the appearance of the objects inside the photos just like the example in the following.
Moreover, we can create some special effects that would be nonsensical and ridiculous in our real life. For example, I can fully understand the digital power in the film of "Inception" and "2010 doomsday". Both of them take advantage of digital technology to represent an imaginative world which could never be made by using analog technology. It seems to me that everything can be created in digital world, but there are many restriction on analog photography.
3) The difference between digital and analog photography:
The main difference between digital photography and analog photography, as I mentioned before, we can create specail effects by using digital technology, but analog technology can not do that. Also, refering to the definition of digital photographs in Wikipedia, "digital photographs can be printed, stored, manipulated, transmitted, and archived using digital and computer techniques, without chemical processing. On the contrary, analog photography is based either on a chemical process or electronic means." It is really an important difference between both of them.

yes~ you are right Nina~analog photography may relies on the other techniques to create a photo. Therefore I think the digital one is more user-friendly since no special techniques are required to master.Ordinanry people can easy to take photo by their own~ do you think so? ~
回覆刪除Penny, I agree with you. Digital technology is convinient and easy for us to take photos that we want. Since we can see the photos immediately after taking and we can change it easily by photoshops. On the contrary, the anolog one is quite difficult to control.
